Week Two- Pushing the Pace

Not a whole lot to say. Training goes well.  Upped my total weekly distance, kept my long at 10 miles but pushed the pace on all my runs during the week. Managed to do my long run at my faster short run pace. That means today was a recovery run, it was nice to get out there and get the body moving. This week I will increase my weekly distance by a greater margin but I will be keeping the pace a bit slower, especially on my longer runs.

I am slammed at work right now and it will remain that way for at least another week. Then I get a breather. I must admit to feeling a bit overwhelmed and running has become my therapy. It is a sweet drug that goes down easy and reminds you all day that there is always some place to go when it all gets too crazy.

I have to say that when I couldn't run, I thought I'd go crazy!! Happy to hear you are running, despite the work obligations consuming your life, it has to feel really good! Nice job, girlie...you are doing fantastic! Love ya bunches!!

I understand the work stress!

I never truly realized how much running is my stress release until I was injured last year and couldn't run. I was not a very pleasant person there for awhile.

Anyway, you just hang in there and keep on running!
Hugs to you!

Training looks good Jennifer, well done! Life has been crazy and busy for me as well and I'm glad I can get my runs in early in the morning. Running is a wonderful friend to me.

Ha, ha - running IS our drug - it's universal - a stress relief and a 'happy place' when things are crazy. Keep up the great work and have a fantastic week!

Glad you're getting the running in. Hang in there.

Yep. I did the math. A new pair of running shoes - even the most expensive ones - every 500 miles is cheaper than good weed.

Running is an excellent outlet. Sadly I've had to find alternatives lately. Hope everything settles for you soon!
